Glendale is located in Los Angeles County, California. As of the latest census, the city population was just over 190,000, which makes it the third largest city in LA and the city with the twenty-second largest population in the entire state of California. The city’s borders are Burbank and Griffith Park to the west, Eagle Rock and Pasadena to the east, Atwater Village to the south, and La Canada Flintridge to the north. Sandwiched at the juncture of two very large valleys (San Fernando and San Gabriel), the area is known to have a Mediterranean climate and also includes a few well known earthquake faults. All of this affects the home design and remodeling industry in the city and its surrounding areas.
Looking at the economy of Glendale as a whole, there is a wealth of flourishing industries. Some of the top employers in the city (excluding the government) are Nestle, Disney, Acco Engineering, and PS Business Parks. The Grand Central Airport was developed in 1923 and became the largest employer in the city for many years, and also contributed to the growth and development of United States aviation in several important ways. Recently, the city has seen more growth and development as it becomes a more popular and lively place to be. In 2011, a study showed that many people thought the city was boring. City government voted to undertake a one million dollar image campaign to improve this. Since then, there has been a lot of home construction and design around the city as the campaign succeeds and homeowners flock to the city to find a new place to live.
With the boom in relocation that is occurring around the city, the general contractor business has seen an increase in growth as well. Glendale residents are not just having their homes remodeled, but purchasing simple procedures as well like bathroom and kitchen remodeling that adds style and a fresh perspective on their homes. In the general contractor business, Roger Perron is typically considered one of the top in the industry. With over twenty-seven years in the trade, he uses the best materials and the best team to create a design that is both incredible and long-lasting.
